The coastal area of Brolo has a really exceptional landscape: blue sea and green Nebrodi mountain range.
It is an agricultural-craft center.
The wooden and wrought iron artefacts are characteristic.
The ancient original village developed around the medieval castle; built almost overlooking the sea, dominating a vast stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast.
Built in 1200, it also preserves a 15th century tower and the 16th century walls; it is said that Bianca Lancia, future mother of Manfredi di Sicilia, lived there.
In the Norman period, the port of Brolo was the only one present on the coast between Capo d'Orlando and Capo Calavà and was known as the Port of Vine because of wine trafficking.
To see, beyond the castle, the Mother Church of Maria SS.Annunziata and the Palazzo Baratta.
Interesting is the University of Laughter, which every year in July organizes two evenings to give young people the opportunity to enter the entertainment world.
Today we discover...
