Once the house of the architect par excellence of the city of Catania Giovan Battista Vaccarini was surrounded by green gardens.
Today is in the heart of the ancient district of the Civita.
Classical and Renaissance with decorative elements of Baroque extraction, it has a square plan.
It has 10 small rooms and a living room upstairs and 4 rooms on the ground floor.
The white limestone facade on the side of Via Sorrentino seems to have remained unfinished.
It is currently home to the exhibition "Volti e luoghi della Catania letteraria, da Giovanni Verga a Giuseppe Bonaviri": a collection of about two hundred photographs illustrating the urban centers, monuments, landscapes, Mount Etna and the tradition of the Sicilian puppets Opera.
