This castle has probably Arab origin, as well as the village of Buscemi.
It had considerable damage by the earthquake of 1693.
It belonged, among others, to the noble Requisenz family.
The view over the Anapo valley is magnificent.
In the castle you can see beautiful portals, round arches and the remains of a chapel.
On the esplanade there are traces of the walls, a drinking trough, a rock staircase, the cistern and traces of drainage channels.
A particularity: the castle, after the earthquake of 1693 was first used as a convent and later, in the nineteenth century, it was used as a cemetery; even today, in the cisterns and in the underground, skulls and skeletons are still half-submerged in the mud.
