This castle leaning against a high rocky ridge has a special charm.
It is made of rocky environments.
Built during the Arab period, it suffered several sieges during the Aragonese period.
The castle was placed to guard the directing road that went towards Enna.
It bears the Ventimiglia coat of arms in the entrance door, with MCCCCXVIII date (1418).
In the rock, at different heights, there are the openings of different environments.
The presence of numerous holes indicates that in the past there were wooden structures that connected the various rooms.
There are also some stairs carved into the rock and various walkways.
