The Mother Church of Gibellina Nuova was designed by Ludovico Quadroni in 1972.
It is located on a hill at the highest point of Gibellina.
The center of the monument is a large smooth white sphere, which refers to the sacred.
On the outside, in an iron grip, there is the bell of the Mother Church of Gibellina Vecchia, recovered after the 1968 earthquake, althought with some cracks.
The church has been declared by the Directorate-General for architecture and contemporary art "of important artistic interest, as the modernity of the language used in it in declining the theme of memory and the sacred make it a singular experience in the architectural Italian panorama".
