Corso Umberto is the main street of Taormina; it crosses the historical part of the city along its entire length and is bounded by Porta Messina to the north and Porta Catania to the south.
In the center, in Piazza IX Aprile, is the Clock Tower, or Torre di mezzo, which divides the Greco-Roman part from the medieval part of the city.
Walking in Corso Umberto you can see ancient buildings and shop windows where you can admire both local products and designer brands.
The numerous alleys offer beautiful views and allow you to admire the most hidden corners of Taormina.
