In Vicari there is an ancient testimony of the passage of the Arabs in Sicily: a Cuba, called "Cuba Ciprigna".
It was built between the end of the 11th and the beginning of the 12th century AD.
It's only a couple of meters high, and while it was once in the open countryside, today it is incorporated into the urban fabric.
It is a typical construction of Arab architecture consisting of a dome resting on four pointed arches which are aligned with the cardinal points.
It's use is not known with certainty; it was probably part of the Arab aqueduct.
