Filicudi and Alicudi are the oldest islands of the Aeolian archipelago.
Filicudi in ancient times was known as Phoenicusa which means rich in ferns.
The settlements of Piano del Porto and Capo Graziano date back to the Bronze Age; the Capo Graziano one, was important for the Greek East and the Aegean.
Still in activity in the following phase of the Milazzese, the village was destroyed in the mid-thirteenth century BC.
On the summit of the Pecorini mountain, a large boulder was found with an engraving of the Greek age.
The rocks, the caves, the seabed of its sea, the tranquility of its land are unmissable elements for a perfect holiday-relaxation.
