Opposite the Cathedral of Taormina is a beautiful fountain from 1635, built in Baroque style with taormina stone, also called "four fountains".
The fountain consists of a central body formed by two pools: the smallest are engraved with the names of the city administrators who ordered its construction; the largest once served as a watering hole.
At the corners of the central body there are four columns surmounted by sea horses from whose mouth came the water that ended in the tanks below.
At the center, at the top, there is a minotaur woman who is the emblem of the city of Taormina.
