In Gibellina Nuova the squares were built so as to be aligned with each other.
The squares are surrounded by architectural structures that make the squares themselves a piece of modern art.
Designed by Franco Purini and Laura Thermes, they are made in Mazara tuff, lava stone, Alcamo travertine and red stone.
The porticoes have a double order that makes it possible to walk at an elevated level, from which overlook rectangular windows, decorated with colored ceramics.
In one of the squares there is the work "Tracce antropomorfe" or "Arco di Nanda Vigo", made with recovered and reassembled rubble from Gibellina Vecchia.
