Lampione is the smallest of the Pelagie islands.
It has always followed the vicissitudes of the two largest islands and today is uninhabited.
The only sign left here by man is the presence of an automatic searchlight from which the island takes its name.
The lighthouse can be reached via a path that starts from a small artificial mooring, suitable only for small boats.
Lamppost is a usual stop for many migratory birds.
Its waters are also populated by sharks, including the gray shark and the bull shark, as well as numerous species of lobsters and corals of yellow and pink varieties.
