The archaeological museum of Badia illustrates the history and characters of human settlements in the territory of Licata and in the southern valley of the river from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
The collection is very rich; the most precious piece is the "Treasure of the Lady", composed of beautiful gold jewels and 400 coins with the effigy of the consul Marcello, dating back to the capture of Syracuse by the Roman army, found in Finziade, a Greek city built on heights of Licata in the second century before Christ.
