Adjacent to the archaeological area ancient Greek Acropolis, this important museum, not to be missed, allows you to retrace the period in which Gela, the first rhodium-cretan colony founded in Sicily, was one of the most important cities of Sicily, rivaling with Syracuse.
The about four thousand items are exhibited chronologically from prehistory to the Middle Ages.
Most of the materials come from the Acropolis, from the Bosco Littorio emporium and from the Capo Soprano area.
