The Salvo Nibali Civic Museum exhibits the archaeological, cultural and ethno-anthropological heritage of the surrounding areas in the premises of the former slaughterhouse of Maletto.
The archaeological finds belong to the Neolithic, to the various cultures of metals and the Greco-Roman period, costumes, tools and objects from Etna's peasant life and culture are also exhibited.
The finds testify the presence of man in the area since the sixth century BC.
The museum is dedicated to the Maletto's journalist and writer Salvo Nibali, who died prematurely.
