You can see the figures adorning the sumptuous balconies of Palazzo Nicolaci - a real jewel of Noto - at the beginning of the climb that leads to the entrance of this noble house.
The halls still echo the ancient splendor.
It was built between 1720 and 1765.
You can still admire the slide that allowed the carriages to get to the entrance door of the inner courtyard.
Its halls are still adorned with valuable frescoes, floors and wallpapers.
On the ground floor there were stables and warehouses for stocks.
In the first floor lived the baron Giacomo Nicolaci and the upper floor was used as a noble residence for the family.
The servants lived in the attic.
Palazzo Nicolaci is open to the public every day from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 17:30.
