This elegant bridge dates back to 1162 and crosses the Belice river in a full of charm place.
It is humpbacked; has a single pointed arch and a double ferrule.
The bridge leads to the old mill, formerly frequented by the inhabitants of the nearby town Roccamena.
A lot of legends are linked to the bridge which have earned it the nickname "Devil's Bridge": it is said that it was built by the spirits in a single night and they purposely left it without the side parapets.
Legends aside, it is one of the best examples of Arab architecture in Sicily.
