This interesting geological-naturalistic area is characterized by an evocative phenomenon of secondary volcanism, with the escape of gas, water and mud, which evokes lunar landscapes.
The formation of salinellas is dated to the 6th millennium BC and seems to be closely linked to the activities of Etna.
These Salinellas are characterized by a volcan that rises for a few meters on the alluvial substratum, dominating the valley in front of it, where secondary apparatuses are there.
The density of the emissions is much higher than the other two sites, this means that the sludge moves away from the emission point, creating higher volcanoes.
The flows tend to vigorously affect the sides of slope, creating drainage channels inside which the muddy flows flow very quickly.
