The Salto dei Ventimiglia is a modern work of great suggestion that allows you to experience a unique emotion, giving the feeling of remaining suspended in the void, totally immersed in a breathtaking panorama that from the valley of the Grosso torrent goes up to the Nebrodi Mountains and the Mount Etna.
It is a "work of view", that is a walkway made of glass (also the floor) and steel, which goes for a few meters into the void beyond the edge of the cliff.
It is located in correspondence with the Mendolilla alley, just beyond the church of San Giuliano.
This work recalls an episode that occurred in 1337, when Count Francesco Ventimiglia fall from this point, pursued by the troops of the King of Sicily Pietro of Aragona.
The Salto dei Ventimiglia is open for free every day.
