This church was built in 1098, modernized in 1589 and rebuilt in the early eighteenth century, after being destroyed by the earthquake.
It stands on top of a large staircase.
Inside you can admire a painting with St.
John Nepomuceno and a painting depicting the St.
The church also hosts the so-called "St Agata furnace": the place where St.
Agatha was exposed to the hot coals.
