The Sanctuary of the Three Saints was built between the 11th and 12th centuries probably on the remains of a Greek temple.
It is located on top of Monte Vecchio and enjoys a beautiful panorama.
It was one of the first presences of the Basilian monks in the Valdemone area.
It owes its name to the three saints martyred brothers Alfio, Cirino and Filadelfo, whose relics it housed in a crypt.
The church has a single nave and has an annexed monastery; the oldest is the bell tower and the octagonal support of the dome.
Originally it appeared as a sober body; subsequent modifications have included stuccoes and frescoes.
Artifacts from the Greek and Roman era have been found near the Sanctuary which suggest that the old Apollonia town must have been located here in ancient times.
To build the same church, reused materials were used, visible for example in some corners, as in the west wall, a Greek inscription is legible.
