The sanctuary of Gibilmanna is located at nine hundred meters above sea level.
It is a place of peace and prayer entirely surrounded by nature.
In ancient times one of the most important resources of the area was the manna, hence the name, which means "Mountain of manna".
The current sanctuary was built in the seventeenth century on the site where once was a monastery destroyed by the Saracens in 857.
Inside it is particularly important the statue of the Madonna and Child of the Gagini school.
