Built in 1848 and named after Vittorio Emanuele III, the Villa Belvedere is the largest public garden in Acireale.
The flower beds are adorned with busts of illustrious people of Acireale of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
It is beautiful the marble statue of Aci and Galatea.
The Villa also houses the Eden Theater, in Moorish style, where in 1905 people of Acireale has viewed the first movie in the town.
The marvelous view from here allows you to explore the area beyond Taormina up to Calabria in the north, up to the hills of Augusta in the south.
In the direction of the sea above the green "Timpa" and towards the hinterland the majestic Etna.
